Privacy Policy for SimFly Pad
Published Date: Apr 5, 2022 · Last updated: Aug 6, 2026
SimFly Pad is developed and operated by Chongqing SeeingSky Network Technology Co., Ltd (SEEINGSKY INC.) ("we", "us"), the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. At SimFly Pad, accessible from https://seeingsky.com and the App Store or Play Store, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by SimFly Pad and how we use it.
If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us.
This Privacy Policy applies to our website (seeingsky.com) and to our App (SimFly Pad) with regards to the information collected there. It does not apply to information collected through other channels, such as third-party stores or websites we do not operate.
Scope and legal bases
We process your personal information only for the purposes described in this policy: to provide the App and its account, sync, and purchase features you request; to keep your account secure; and to understand crashes and usage so we can improve the App. Where a feature is optional — such as cloud sync — we process the related data only when you choose to use that feature. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our website or the App.
Information we collect
The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.
If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.
When you register for a SimFly Pad account, we ask for your email address and a password. Account authentication is provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS Cognito).
Account and sign-in information
When you sign in to your SimFly Pad account, we record the IP address and the device model of the device you sign in from. We use this information solely to enforce a limit on the number of IP addresses that can be signed in to one account at the same time, and to keep your account secure. We do not share this information with any third party.
Cloud-synced content
If you choose to use cloud features, user content you create in the app — such as flight logs, FDR data, and in-flight photos and videos — is uploaded to cloud storage (AWS S3) and linked to your account so you can access it across devices. This content is removed when your account and its data are deleted (see "Data retention and deletion" below).
In-app purchases
Payments for in-app purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never receive your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase status: your app account identifier and purchase history are shared with RevenueCat for this purpose. Premium panels purchased on SimMarket are activated with an activation code and are subject to SimMarket's own terms and privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:
- Improve, personalize, and expand our product
- Understand and analyze how you use our Application
- Develop new products, services, features, and functionality
- Collect crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics; crash data is associated with a device identifier, not with your account
- Enforce account security, including limiting the number of sign-in IP addresses per account
Website hosting logs
Our website (seeingsky.com) is a static site hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process standard technical information when you visit the site — such as your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of the request — to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not run any analytics or tracking scripts on the website, and we do not use this hosting information to identify individual visitors.
Cookies and embedded content
Our website does not set cookies and does not use web beacons or similar tracking technologies. Some pages embed YouTube videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) player; if you play an embedded video, your IP address and playback interactions are transmitted to Google and are subject to Google's privacy policy.
Third-party services we use
SimFly Pad relies on the following third-party service providers, which process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) — app usage statistics and anonymous crash reports.
- Amazon Web Services (Cognito and S3) — account authentication and cloud storage of your synced content.
- RevenueCat — in-app purchase management (app account identifier and purchase history).
- Mapbox — map display for flight trajectory features. Loading map tiles transmits your IP address to Mapbox, and the map component may collect device and usage data as described in Mapbox's privacy policy.
SimFly Pad's Privacy Policy does not apply to these third-party services. We advise you to consult their respective privacy policies for more detailed information, including their practices and instructions about how to opt out of certain options.
Where your data is stored
Your account data and cloud-synced content are stored on Amazon Web Services servers located in the United States (US West, Oregon). Firebase and RevenueCat also process data in the United States. If you use SimFly Pad from outside the United States, the information described in this policy is transferred to and processed in the United States.
SimFly Linker (desktop app)
SimFly Linker, our desktop connector app, runs locally on your computer and does not collect analytics or crash reports. It connects to our server only to check whether a newer version is available (a standard web request that transmits your IP address but no personal data) and, if you activate a product with an activation code, to validate that code.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your account data and cloud-synced content for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and its associated data by contacting us at the email address below; we will respond within one month. Once your account is deleted, cloud-synced content linked to it is removed.
CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)
We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold personal information in the preceding twelve months.
Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to:
- Request that a business that collects a consumer's personal data disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data that a business has collected about consumers.

- Request that a business that sells a consumer's personal data, not sell the consumer's personal data.
If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
Children's Information
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
SimFly Pad does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
